The Happy Chuppah People understand that privacy and the security of your personal information is extremely important.
This privacy policy sets out what we do with your information and what we do to keep it secure. It also explains where and how we collect your personal information, as well as your rights over any personal information we hold about you. We also provide information about the Cookies used on our site.
This policy applies to you if you contact us by telephone, email or face-to-face at exhibitions, for example, and where you use our website or interact with us on social media.

What information do we hold about you?
The information that we hold about you is fairly limited and we never ask for information that is not appropriate and necessary, and is not specifically required to manage your event to the desired standard that you expect from us.
We hold:
- Information that you provide to us such as your name, telephone number, email address and details about your event such as wedding date and venue plus any feedback we may receive from you about us; and
- Information about the services that we provide to you. For example, any products you have rented from us, when and where these were provided, what you paid for these services etc.
We may collect this information via phone, email, telephone or social media.
How do we use your information?
The information we collect about you may be used to:
- Make available our services to you;
- Process your booking;
- Issue invoices, take payment from you and issue hire terms relating to our products and services that you purchase from us;
- Contact third parties to facilitate your booking with us, such as venues, florists and wedding planners; and
- Contact you about your experience with us following the event you used our services and products for.
Who do we share your information with?
We may share information about you with third parties such as venues, florists and event planners with the sole purpose of planning your event – such as delivery times – so that we can provide a high quality of service that you expect from us. The only exception is where we use third party accounting software to issue invoices to you (your name and email address only). We do not share your personal information with any third parties not related to managing your event effectively, such as advertising or marketing agencies.
What are your rights?
In the vast majority of circumstances, you have the right to access the personal information that we hold about you. If we agree that we are obliged to provide personal information to you, we will provide it to you free of charge. If any of the personal information we hold about you is inaccurate or out of date, you may ask us to correct it. You have the right to object to us processing your personal information if we are not entitled to use it any more, to have your information deleted if we are keeping it too long or have its processing restricted in certain circumstances. How long do we keep your information for?
We will retain a record of your personal information for a period of two years after which it will be deleted.
Our Cookies policy

Therefore, we will not be liable to you for any issues arising in connection with their use of your information, the website content or the services offered to you by these websites. If you wish, you can check the privacy policy of these suppliers directly with them.
Social media
We do use social media to promote our services. If you engage with us on social media, such as when you ‘like’, ‘share’ or ‘comment’, your personal information may be visible to the providers of those social networks (and other users of these social media companies). We do not take responsibility for those other companies use of your personal information. If you wish, you can check the privacy policy of these social media providers directly with them.
Security
We take security measures to protect your information including:
- implementing access controls to our information technology, such as security software, firewalls
and password protection; - limiting access to our buildings to those that we believe are entitled to be there;
- never sharing your personal information unless it is absolutely necessary to do so for your specific event; and
- destroying any printed copies of the event booking form (that you are required to complete
when booking with us), immediately after your event has taken place.
